（発売中止）MWC 2015 : TCLがCyanogenMod 11を搭載した「Alcatel OneTouch Hero2+」を発表、$299で北米で発売
スペイン・バルセロナで行われている MWC 2015 イベントで、OnePlus One、Yu Yureka に続く CyanogenMod を搭載した商用 Android スマートフォン「Alcatel OneTouch Hero2+」が TCL Communications より発表されました。
Alcatel OneTouch Hero2+ は 6 インチディスプレイを搭載したファブレットジャンルの LTE スマートフォン、OS にカスタム ROM として有名な「CyanogeMod 11」（Android 4.4.4 ベース）が搭載されています。
この機種は、TCL が米国とカナダの Amazon で運営しているネットショップを通じて 2015 年 Q2 に $299 という価格で販売されます。
Alcatel OneTouch Hero2+ は 6 インチ 1,920 × 1,080 ピクセルの液晶ディスプレイ、MediaTek MT6592 2.0GHz オクタコアプロセッサ、2GB RAM、16GB ROM、背面に 1,300 万画素カメラ、前面に 500 万画素カメラを搭載しており、スタイラスペンも付属します筐体サイズは 160.5mm x 81.6mm x 7.9mm となっています。
2015 年 7 月 1 日：TCL と Cyanogen が発売を見送ることに決定したとの共同声明を発表しました。理由については、要件を満たせなかったためとしていますが、特に、Android 5.1 へのアップデートの目処が立っていないことを挙げています。
ALCATEL ONETOUCH and Cyanogen, Inc. have made a mutual decision to forgo the release of the HERO 2+. At its announcement, the goal of bringing this device to market was to offer the most advanced hardware and software at an affordable price. The bar was set high and unfortunately the device does not have a clear Android 5.1 upgrade path. We therefore are committing to refocus our joint efforts on a next-generation product that can exceed the expectations of end users. Our teams remain dedicated to releasing an ALCATEL ONETOUCH device powered by Cyanogen OS, and are looking to share an update when we have more details to share.
