Sony Mobile、米国特許商標庁に「Xperia Link」を商標出願
米国特許商標庁に「Xperia Link」の名前がSony Mobileより商標出願されていたことが判明しました。
一見すると、Xperia新モデル用かと思われますが、これまでのXperiaスマートフォンの保護区分が”Mobile telephones; Smartphones”であるのに対して、Xperia Linkでは、”A computer software program used as an electronic feature found on apparatus for recording, transmission, processing and reproduction of sound, images or data, which enables the apparatus to share sound, images or data with other apparatus for recording, transmission, processing and reproduction of sound, images or data”と異なります。コンテンツ共有系のソフトウェアの部類に入るものみたいです。PC・Android向けにそういったアプリを準備しているのかもしれません。あえて商標を取得したことを考えると、Sony Mobleの戦略にとって重要な役割を果たすものであると推測されます。
