Samsung、本日のプレスカンファレンスで米4大キャリア向け「Galaxy Tab」と「Media Hub」を発表、Galaxy TabはWi-Fiモデルも準備中（更新）
Samsung Mobile USAは本日行われた新製品発表プレスカンファレンスにおいて、米4大キャリア向けAndroidタブレット『Galaxy Tab』を正式に発表しました。今回のプレスカンファレンスではGalaxy Tab以外、テレビ番組や動画の購入・レンタルサービス『Media Hub』も正式に発表しています。
米4大キャリア向けということでVerizon、Sprint、T-Mobile USA、AT&Tからそれぞれ発売されることになります。発売時期はホリデーシーズン前とのこと。また、既に発表されているWi-Fi+3Gモデルとは別に、Wi-Fiだけモデルも準備中だそうです。
ちなみに、Sprint向けGalaxy TabにはモバイルWiMAXは搭載されていないそうです。
また、Media Hubは、Galaxy SやGalaxy Tabなどで利用可能。TV番組や動画はダウンロードして再生することができる。購入・レンタルしたTV番組や動画は最大5台までの機器で共有することができる。PC向けにもMedia Hubが提供される。Media Hubが利用可能になるのは数週間後だそうです。コンテンツの価格は明らかにされていません。主なコンテンツプロバイダーは、MTV、NBC、PARAMOUNT、Warner、Universal Studio・・。

Just like the Galaxy S smart phones, the Galaxy Tab includes Samsung’s Social Hub application and the new Media Hub content service, offering a robust collection of premium movies and TV episodes from some of the biggest entertainment companies.
